Privacy Policy
The case converter on this website runs entirely inside your browser. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
On this page
The short version
The case converter on this website runs entirely inside your browser. The text you paste is converted by JavaScript on your own device and is never transmitted to us. We do not require an account, and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. If you contact us by email, we will of course receive the message you send us — that is the only way we ever receive personal data.
What we collect
We keep the technical data that every web server records in order to deliver a page. This typically includes your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the page you requested, the referring site, and the time of the request. This information is used only to serve the site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic patterns such as which pages are popular and whether the site works correctly on different devices.
We do not ask for, and you do not need to provide, any personally identifying information in order to use the online case converter. There is no sign-up, no email capture on the converter itself, and no profile.
Data stored on your device
To make the tool usable, the site stores a small amount of information in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Theme preference — whether you chose the light or dark theme, so the site opens the way you left it.
- Conversion history — the last eight conversions you ran, kept only so you can restore an earlier result. You can erase it at any time with the Clear history button in the Recent Conversions panel.
Because this information lives in your browser, clearing your browser data or your site data removes it permanently. We cannot see it, restore it, or transfer it to another device.
Cookies and similar technologies
The converter itself does not set cookies. If advertising is displayed on this site in the future, third-party advertising vendors may set their own cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise ads. Where that happens, those vendors are responsible for their own data practices, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings or through the opt-out tools linked in our advertising section.
Advertising
We may display third-party advertising on this website in the future. Third-party vendors, including advertising networks and exchanges, may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites in order to provide ads that are relevant to you. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting AboutAds.info or Your Online Choices.
Important: advertising never touches the text you convert. Conversion always happens locally in your browser, so your text is never sent to us and never shared with an advertising vendor. If you would prefer a site with no advertising at all, please tell us — that is exactly the kind of feedback we act on.
Third-party links and services
Pages on this site may link to websites we do not control. Once you follow such a link, you are on someone else's site and their privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for the content, products, services, or data practices of any third-party site, and we recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you submit personal information to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA (California), or similar legislation. These typically include the right to:
- know what personal data an organisation holds about you, and request a copy;
- request that inaccurate data is corrected;
- request that your data is deleted;
- object to, or restrict, processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
Because we do not hold accounts and do not collect the text you convert, there is normally nothing for us to disclose or delete. If you have contacted us by email, we will act on any request you make about that correspondence.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable care to protect the site, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. As the converter runs locally, the strongest protection for your text is the one already built in: it never leaves your device in the first place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example when advertising is introduced or when a new third-party service is added. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be summarised here.
